I wrote this charming little story when I was seven years old.
“Once upon a time there was a little girl that was beautiful. She had a fireplace and lit the fire and it spread around the house. She survived the fire but the rest of the family didn’t. She ran into the forest crying and said, “I don’t know where to live now.” She went to find something to eat but a giant rat ripped her hand off. So she went to the hospital, healed, and later joined the army. In the army, she accidentally opened her mouth and swallowed a grenade and blood flew all over everyone else. Everyone thought that everyone else was bleeding all over and they screamed. Suddenly her cat licked her hand and she realized that it was really a dream. The end.”

She just smiled. Now I know what she was thinking: sucker.
